My favourite mistakes
He. He. He. Finally. My own LIKE button! (I'm pretty sure all the magnets on the board will LIKE their new friend as well. :P)
I could have improved it better. It wasn't neat enough, the quilled letters were still a mess, and I know I should have put extra patience when quilling the background. Full of flaws, definitely - but they are my favourite mistakes. :)
By the time I finished experimenting this, I was too drained to start another one. It was really challenging, especially to quill the tiny letters and those tiny spaces in between. Coupled with my already unstable and shaky fingers, you can really see how I almost run out of patience hehe. Hope you'll LIKE this as much as I do. :P

Singing in the rain
I'm totally loving this pre-schedule blog entries. I've just pre-scheduled the entries up until the first week of February :P. At least I won't have to worry about updating blog on time. To those emails that are yet to be replied, my apologies. I'll try to reply one of these days.
Onto the rain, again!
I made this while listening to Gene Kelly (it's very addictive!):
I'm singing in the rain
Just singing in the rain
What a glorious feelin'
I'm happy again
I'm laughing at clouds
So dark up above
The sun's in my heart
And I'm ready for love
And I'm ready for love
Let the stormy clouds chase
Everyone from the place
Come on with the rain
I've a smile on my face
I walk down the lane
With a happy refrain
Just singin',
Singin' in the rain.
Onto the rain, again!

Rainy Day
It's raining everyday now. Have I told you how much I love the rain? Oh I think I did. :P
Rain inspires me. And I always make my favourite cards with my favourite colours on rainy days.
Rainy days have always been my favourite days. I always get giddy when it rains hehe. I love walking in the rain, instead of running. I love hearing the sound of the rain hitting the umbrella. I love when the raindrops hit my face, and ruin my make-up haha. I love holding out my hand, so the rain would drop on them, but never leave any trace. I love the rhythmic beats of the drops, as if they're singing me a lullaby. I even love all songs with rain in the lyrics.
Rain cools me down.

One of a Kind
I'm getting used to all the stickers now! :P It's pretty much making my life easier hehe, and making me do the cards faster. :P
The olive green card-stock is definitely one of my favourite cards (what else is new :P), and I keep on replenishing the cards that I have tonnes of them now hehe, At first I thought of making this card a masculine one, since the green and brown were simply lovely and gave out that gloomy-and-military-kinda-look...but the pink fits the card so perfectly that I just knew I was going to use it somehow hehe.
As you could probably see, this card is all about simplicity, and uses the basic quilling shapes - loose coils for the pink flowers and marquises for the leaves. I used 3mm shredder-cut quilling strips. The 'One of a Kind' wording was part of the Chatterbox Sticker Fuzz (bought it at Scrap n Crop).
I kinda like the mirror effect the flowers have on each other. As if it's a one of a kind mirror that lets you see not only your own reflection, but multiply them. :P (Narcissist, much? Hahahaha!)

Green-Induced Mode
There's something about green that I couldn't really figure it out. I'm not sure when or why I'm always attracted to the colour, all I know is that I tend to be very bias where green is concerned. :P
If you remember the Pastel Palette magical tree that got me pretty excited before, this one is simply a re-creation of the tree, minus the palette hehe. I use shades of green, out of curiousity of how it'd look like.
It's a simple card, full of blooming swirls. It does take away the flirtatious mood without the colourful petals, but on the good sides, the green swirls look so fresh.. and as bias as I am, I'm loving everything about it!
I've thoroughly enjoyed snapping photos of this particular card - it was right after the rain, so the leaves were very fresh and pretty looking, thus making the card alive.
On days like this, I wish I could make more green-induced cards. :)

SMILE!
You need good mood to make good cards. Hehe. I've heard the phrases being uttered by my craft friends too many times now. Rightly so at that as well. :P
I wasn't in a good mood to make newly-designed cards, but I was in the mood to simply make cards using quilled things I've made ages ago. I've one red box full of quilling items that I made whenever I'm bored, things that I experimented without thinking of any specific project in mind. Well, one day I realised that I have too many of them that the box could no longer fit new items hehe. So I thought it was the right time to make use of them.
I have too many greens, and too many flowers. And some small extra cards. And a leftover ribbon as well. So why not make a card? Of my favourite colour.
Oh. I can really assure you that I made this with my widest smile. :)

It's my first full project using 1mm quilling strips. They're way more delicate than the usual 3m strips that I used, and took more time, but I simply love the thinness of the paper, and the outcome. Planning to do more 2011 projects using 1mm quilling paper! Watch the space okay! :)
