The favours.
Sorry for being quiet for a while. Life has taken its toll on me, and I was in a mess, trying to figure out things (my eyebags were really bad these few months!). It's calmer now, and I'm trying to pick up the pieces again. There are many new things I did and I can't wait to blog all about them!
Let's continue from where we left, shall we?
Here are the favours that we made for my sister's wedding. I altered the Ma'thurat (prayer book) for the Akad Nikah (solemnization ceremony), and gave them out for the guests:
And I made the tags stamped with white chalk ink for the guest reception favours (we bought the ready-made woven box):
... and packed the ice gems biscuits for our little guests as well.
Last but not least, these handmade fridge magnets were made few weeks before the wedding, for my sister's close friends:
(I know, I went a wee bit crazy with everything LOL).

DIY Engagement Ceremony - Part V (Final): The Decorations
I can't usually think straight when my energy level is low. Especially at midnights.
The decorations, and the additional labellings weren't in the original plan, but I think I went a wee bit crazy the midnight before the ceremony, and started printing out some weird things. LOL. (I always do funny things at 12 midnight haha).
First, I printed the mineral water labels, and wrapped around all the mineral bottles.
The tissue and the stone was dad's idea, which I LOVE! We added a glass of water with extra flower from the hantaran. Just a quick, and simple table centrepiece.
Second, I printed the menu cards, and paste them right beside the dishes.
The sad part was, I totally forgot to take the pictures of the food. I wish I could show you how the food looked like! All the food were prepared by my awesome aunties. :). I made the menu labels using simple Photoshop design and laminate them so they could be recycled later hehe.
Third, I started gluing my extra quilled flowers on hairclips, for the little girls.
Erm. Okay. The last picture was of my wicked cousin haha, whom had hapilly demonstrated on how to wear a flower on your head LOL!
The hairclip experiment wasn't really successful, because I didn't use strong enough glue, that the flowers didn't stick very well haha. Well, at least I tried. :P
Phew. Finally, that's the end of my sister's DIY Engagement Ceremony! I have to thank my great assistants (my sisters, aunties and cousins) in making this a success. It's not the end yet, as we have a DIY Wedding to plan! See you then! :)

Samples of name tags
As promised, these are the few samples of name tags that I made today. They are of varieties of sizes and designs. I'm planning to do a few more on different other design - just experimenting on what I can do hehe. The names are yet to be pasted on them. Enjoy.
This is the first design I made. It was supposed to be simple but I keep on adding more and more. Should have stopped somewhere ;p (this is for a four-letter name)

These are the second, third and fourth designs. I made these for my three little niece and nephews...

The last one is my favourite so far. I saw the design on a pillow somewhere online and thought that it was sooooo cute. So I decided to use the design on one of my name tag.

This one comes with a black ribbon so that one can hang it somewhere - on the door, window, notice board, soft board etc. I did not use any distress powder or sumthin, the smudge part was simply done using...... my old eyeshadow palette that comes in glitters muahhahahah. And it works wonders on the tag!
I would consider these as altered arts as well, since I use recycle cardboard as the base of the tags. Told you I didn't spend that much on scrapping stuff (and thats why i need to win too muahahaha)
